What Training Will I Receive?
In most cases, MRC volunteer training
will focus on how the local emergency response system works, use
of specialized equipment, familiarity with the community response
plan and community resources and partners. You will also be notified
when disaster drills are planned so that you may participate.
Medical
professionals will already know how to perform many of the medical
and health functions that will be needed during a large-scale emergency.
Opportunities
for training in basic disaster response, safety, volunteer leadership
and other important skills may also be available.
Training
courses available to MRC volunteers include, but
